Mission
That all students may come to know the joy and life long benefits learning a musical instrument brings through a traditional, classical music education, dedicated participation, and through inspired performance opportunities for the earliest note-readers to the more experienced.
Goals
Enabling students to be the best they can be, whatever their goals, to recognize their creative individuality in the world, and to experience the amazement of music as a Fine Art.
Pedagogical Pledge
As part of the lineage of the French School of Flute Playing, I am pledged to pass on the philosophies and teachings of The French School of Music and their descendants from Paris Conservatory teachers Francois Devienne, Paul Taffanel and Philippe Gaubert, and Marcel Moyse through Geoffrey Gilbert, Sir James Galway, Carol Wincenc, and Leone Buyse etc.. Because the era of first-hand pedagogues is coming to an end, it is imperative to stave off watered down versions of this excellent tradition and pass on the essence of this teaching in its purest form as possible.
